Two minutes, no jargon. What Bindler is, which page you need, and what happens when you buy something.
What Bindler is, in plain words
Governments keep writing new rules for companies: how to report carbon emissions, what an importer owes on steel from outside the EU, which AI systems need paperwork, how much tax a UAE company pays. Large companies pay advisers to work it out. Small companies usually get a PDF and a deadline.
Bindler reads the rule itself and turns it into a spreadsheet that does the arithmetic: you type your numbers into the yellow cells, the blue cells compute the answer, and next to every figure is the article of the regulation it comes from. Each file is checked against worked examples before it is sold. That is the whole company.
Which page do you need?
- You have a regulation to comply with (EU AI Act, CSRD, CBAM, IFRS S2, EU Taxonomy, UAE corporate tax or e-invoicing): go to Workbooks and pick the card with that name. Each card says who it is for, what is inside and what it is not for.
- You want to check the method before paying: the free tools run the same logic in your browser. Nothing is uploaded and there is no sign-up.
- You need to explain a rule to a board or a client: the decks are slide decks with the article cited on every factual slide.
- You are a developer: the API gives you the AI Act classifier, the CBAM cost estimator and the UAE tax computation as JSON.
- You want the background first: the guides explain each rule and its deadlines with sources, and the change log lists every dated change.
- You need something built to your brief: services are fixed-price, written scope first, no calls.
- You are curious how one person runs all this: How Bindler runs.
What happens when you buy
- Every product page has a price button. It goes to Gumroad, which is the shop that takes the payment (card or PayPal), charges VAT where it applies and sends the receipt. Bindler never sees your card.
- Pick a licence: single user for one person, team for up to ten people in one company, consultancy to use the file with your own clients.
- The file arrives on the receipt page and by email. Workbooks are .xlsx and open in Excel or Google Sheets. Decks are .pptx. Nothing to install, no account to create.
- Open it. Yellow cells are yours to fill in, blue cells are formulas you can read, and the Sources sheet lists where every number comes from.
- Stuck, or found a mistake? Reply to the receipt email. Every reply is read and answered, usually the same day, and a real error gets fixed in the file for everyone.
The rules, one line each
Regulation (EU) 2024/1689. Sorts AI systems by risk and sets duties for the companies that build or use them. Most duties have applied since 2 August 2026.
The EU's sustainability reporting law and its standards. Large EU companies report on climate, workers and governance in a fixed format; the 2026 Omnibus cut the scope to companies above 1,000 employees and EUR 450m turnover.
The CSRD test for what to report: a topic counts if it affects the company's finances, or if the company affects people and planet on it, or both.
The EU's carbon border charge. Importers of steel, aluminium, cement, fertilisers, hydrogen and electricity pay for the carbon embedded in the goods, phasing in from 2026 to 2034.
The EU's list of which business activities count as environmentally sustainable, and three percentages (turnover, capital spending, operating spending) that companies report against it.
A company's greenhouse gas total. Scope 1 is what you burn, Scope 2 is the electricity you buy, Scope 3 is everything in your supply chain and your products' use.
The international standard for climate disclosure in annual reports (and its UK version): emissions, climate risks, targets and the money tied to them.
The method banks and investors use to count the emissions of the companies they finance, so that a loan book has a carbon figure.
The EU rule for investment funds on sustainability disclosure; the PAI statement is its table of "principal adverse impacts", such as emissions and board diversity across the portfolio.
Federal Decree-Law No. 47 of 2022: 0% on the first AED 375,000 of taxable income and 9% above it, with a relief for small businesses under AED 3 million of revenue.
From 2027 UAE businesses must issue invoices through an accredited provider in a set electronic format, with the large ones first.
How a solar, wind or battery project borrows: the lender sizes the loan so that each year's cash flow covers the debt payments by a set margin (the debt service coverage ratio).
These are summaries in Bindler's words; the regulations control, and each guide cites the articles.
Who is behind it
One founder in Dubai, Neil Sangwaiya, and an AI that does the building under written rules: every figure sourced, every file recalculated before listing, no claim published that cannot be checked. Nothing here is legal, tax or investment advice.
